I myself am a big fan of Michale Robotham and have read many of his crime fictions and one of them is ‘Life or death,’ about which I'm going to review today.

‘Life or Death’ was published in 2014.It revolves around a man known as Audi Palmer was sentenced in jail for 10 years in a case of robbery and a day before he was going to be released he escaped from the prison, but why? That’s what the story deals with.
Characters are beautifully designed by Michael and every character has played his/her role magnificently. Audie was sentenced to 10 years for a robbery in which four people died, including two members of his gang. Five million dollars has never been recovered from the robbery, and everybody believes Audie knows where the money is.For 10 years Audie has been beaten, stabbed, and threatened by inmates and guards, all desperate to know the secret. The day before he is due to be released, Audie suddenly vanishes.

The hunt for Audie, and the money, is on. But Audie's not running to save his own life--instead, he's trying to save someone else. The suspence is created tiil the end the sudden twist in the story and the truth that comes out just makes our eyes watery. It is one of the best works of  Robotham's .

Praise for 'Life or Death

STEPHEN KING
‘LIFE OR DEATH  is a nerve-shredding thriller with the heart and soul so often missing from lesser crime and suspense novels. I couldn't stop reading, yet I didn't want Audie's story to end. Robotham is an absolute master.'

LEE CHILD
'I love this guy's books. Try this one and you'll see why.'

STEVE BERRY
'A pitch-perfect plot with a stunning twist that involves a sheep in wolf's clothing. Talk about topsy-turvy - but it works - big time.'

Michelle Ross in the Cleveland Plain Dealer
‘One of the strongest thrillers in ages…a novel blessed with unforgettable characters, beautiful writing and a plot to keep you up at night.’

Alan Cheuse in the Dallas Morning News
‘One of the great plots of the year unfolding as you turn pages, a plot with all of the intensity of a Greek tragedy… if it came from a native Texan we’d believe it. Since it comes from a stranger to Texas with such convincing powers of detail, we should celebrate it.’

Harry Levins in St Louis Post-Dispatch
‘Robotham creates fascinating characters and gives them wonderful dialogue. And if his plot sometimes edges toward the thin ice of credibility, readers will keep wading through this well-told tale.’

Marilyn Stasio in the New York Times
'“What sort of idiot escapes the day before his release?” wonders Special Agent Desiree Furness of the F.B.I. who is smarter than most of the characters looking for Audie (Palmer)…a man with hidden depths and horrific secrets. Your real boon companion on this manhunt [is Moss Webster]…a big bruiser… emotionally involved in Audie’s fate and morally conflicted about his own role in determining it. His warm voice, thick with country honey, is the one you want to hear.’

Financial Times (UK)
'Start reading LIFE OR DEATH  and you’ll want to stay curled up in an armchair with one of the best thrillers you’ll read this year.'

Sunday Mirror (UK)
'Superbly exciting thriller... Beautifully written and full of poignancy.'
